If you have simply given up on wearing eyeshadow because it seems like a daunting task, here are some helpful tips for a foolproof application from my wedding makeup San Antonio experience!

• Always start out by wearing a primer because it will help the eyeshadow adhere to the skin and prevent running and creasing.
• Start out by covering your eyelids with an eyeshadow color that is close to your skin tone.
• Use a contour brush to apply a deeper color to the crease of your eye, whether it be an espresso, plum, or charcoal.
• Use a light shimmer or highlighter to blend both of the colors into your brow bone to make your eyes stand out.
• You can also use the color that you used in the crease of your eye to apply to the lower lash line and smudge for a quick smoky eye effect.
Viola!

Even if you are all ready for Christmas, your makeup may not be… Here are some easy holiday makeup tips from my makeup artist San Antonio experience.
•
First of all, add gold undertones to your lipstick for a subtle pop to your makeup. Blending a gold lipstick with your regular lip color will make just enough difference for you to stand out at your office Christmas party!
• With those gold lips, a dramatic eye will look best! This is a wonderful time of year to use warm espresso colors to create a smoky eye. The key is to apply your eyeliner with a contour makeup brush, and then slightly smudge the lower lash line with a Q-tip.
• With a gorgeous lip and dramatic eye, your best bet is to go subtle and natural on your cheeks. Use a cream or gel blush that you can blend into well moisturized skin for a fresh glow for your holiday celebration!

A wonderful alternative to the traditional smoky eye using charcoal colors is to use a dark espresso eyeshadow pigment. Here’s how from my makeup San Antonio experience!
•
Espresso colors work best for warmer skin tones, so start out your smoky eye by applying an eyeshadow primer to your eyelid.
• After that, use your makeup brush to sweep the deep espresso color all the way across your eyelid.
• Use your contour makeup brush to apply the espresso eyeshadow pigment to your lower lash line.
• Use a clean makeup brush or Q-tip to smudge the espresso color on your lower lash line to create the smoky look.
• Use a lighter brown or neutral color to blend the espresso eyeshadow up into your brow bone.
• Finish by using your contour brush to apply another line of eyeliner across your top lash line using the espresso eyeshadow pigment.
And there you have it – the espresso smoky eye made easy!

Fall is a wonderful time of the year when the weather starts getting cooler, so check out this new makeup trend using cool eye shadow colors from my makeup artist San Antonio experience!
Gray is a definitely a color to look for in the fall to give a cool and smoky look to your eyes that is still subtle. If you don’t want it to be too dramatic, then choose a softer gray color, and also shade in the crease of your eyes with a deeper purple.
The color combination you are looking for is in the Nars duo Demon Lover, which has the iridescent storm blue color with the deep indigo color. Apply the iridescent storm blue to your entire eyelid, and use the deep indigo to lightly shade in your crease. You can finish by highlighting and blending in your entire eye makeup look with a light cream or pearl color up to your brow bone.
This is the perfect color combination to rock as a new fall trend in your eye makeup!

Every eye is different, and if you are looking for the best way to apply Asian eyeliner, then I can tell you a few simple tricks to help you out. This is imperative for Asian eyes because you really want to flatter them to make the eyes stand out and look dramatic. It’s all so easy from my experience as a makeup artist in San Antonio!
- Start to line the eyes by pulling the skin taut on the top lash line. Get as close as possible to ensure the most natural look. Most Asian eyes will look the most complementary with black eyeliner.
- Go over this line at least twice to make it look thick enough to draw out the eye. Follow the same application for the other eye.
- You may simply only choose to line the top of the eye, which often look the best for Asian eyes, or you can line the bottom very lightly with a charcoal eyeshadow and slanted brush. To open up Asian eyes, you can also choose to line underneath the eye with white eyeliner for a contrast.
- Make sure to curl the eyelashes so that you can apply mascara easily, and use several coats of mascara to lengthen lashes, and make the eyes appear larger.
From here, you can try a cat eye or smoky eye look, or just continue with your regular eyeshadow application. I hope that this has proved helpful because all it takes is a few tricks to make Asian eyes really stand out and show their true beauty!

If you want to master some expert tips for your own Asian eye makeup, then I am here to share with you some easy methods from my experience in bridal makeup San Antonio. It is important to use certain techniques for Asian eye makeup to play up this feature and make the eyes look wider and fuller, as well as accentuating the lashes.
- Begin by lining your eyes with eyeliner all the way around. You can use any type, liquid or pencil.
- Use a lighter color eyeshadow to apply to the eyelid, and then shade the crease of your eyes with a dark shadow. This will give depth to a smaller or more narrow eye. You also may want to use different shades of espresso or plum because they are complementary to Asian skin tones.
- Then use a solid color, like a cream, to apply up to the brow bone to give more depth to the eye.
- Asian eyes also look fantastic with a smoky eye or cat eye, so experiment. It also works well to use dramatic colors like charcoal, or something that is shimmery.
- Always finish with several coats of mascara to make the eyes stand out!
Make sure that you are choosing colors that complement the yellow undertones to Asian skin so that the eyes really pop. The most important part of this application is to highlight the crease because that will give depth to a more narrow eye. Beautiful!
