One of the best things that you can do for your skin in the wintertime is to exfoliate and moisturize on a regular basis. If your skin becomes dry and flaky, that will directly affect your makeup application. It is best to gently exfoliate 2 to 3 times per week, and then use a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type every time that you cleanse.

Allow your moisturizer to absorb for five minutes before you apply your makeup, and also blot your moisturizer with a tissue before applying makeup to make sure that your skin is not too greasy. If you use liquid foundation, the best way to keep your skin moist in the winter season is to add a small amount of lotion to the foundation that you are using for your makeup application. Set your foundation with a light pressed powder for an easy winter makeup look!
