If you are hoping to look younger, here are some simple tricks to get you started from my bridal makeup San Antonio experience:

• First of all, make sure that you are using a gentle cleanser and moisturizing regularly. It is important to preserve the essential oils in your complexion, which prevent excessive dryness and premature wrinkles.
• Start using a serum treatment ASAP. The reason that this is key is because it gives you concentrated vitamins and peptide ingredients that can penetrate the surface of the skin to reduce the appearance of age from the inside out.
• Apply sunscreen every single day! Use an SPF of at least 30 that can block UVA and UVB rays, which can cause damage and wrinkling even on cold and cloudy days.
• Get enough sleep! This makes a serious difference in giving your skin time to repair itself so that you look fresh and youthful.

Let’s get the facts straight, what really causes acne? Here is what you need to know from my bridal makeup San Antonio experience.

First of all, one big myth to get off the table is that eating chocolate does not cause acne. Many people feel that eating greasy foods that are bad for you will cause acne, but that is definitely not the case. Acne is caused by dead skin cells that stick together on the complexion and mix with oil to clog pores, creating acne lesions.
Acne is caused by stress (which can often trigger people to eat chocolate and fatty foods), as well as using steroids or applying cheap facial products. The important thing to take into consideration is what type of skin care products you are regularly using, making sure that they have beneficial ingredients that won’t harm your complexion. Beware of skin care products that contain cheap filler ingredients that can clog pores and create new acne lesions!

It is wonderful to have a rosy glow to your skin tone, but if you constantly struggle with flushing, there is a way to minimize this type of redness in the skin. Here is what to do from my wedding makeup San Antonio experience!

First of all, if you have excessive facial flushing, it could be caused by rosacea. This is a skin disorder that causes severe redness, which can be treated by green tinted concealer or foundation to neutralize redness. Another cause of deep redness and flushing is adult acne, which is brought on by hormones in pregnancy and menstruation. These pimples are likely to appear on the neck, jawline, and T-zone. If they are serious, you may want to use a medicated treatment from your physician to clear up your skin.
Last of all, deep flushing may be caused by symptoms of menopause, which can occur even in the 30s. If this is the case, treat hot flashes with a cool cloth on your neck to reduce redness in your skin.

If you are interested in a helpful natural remedy, why not try avocado oil? Here is what you need to know from my makeup San Antonio experience.

Avocado oil is full of fatty acids, which hydrate and balance the surface of the skin. On top of that, it also has a number of antioxidants, like vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. These antioxidants will protect the skin from free radical damage from sun exposure, smoking, and pollution.
To treat the skin, use five drops of avocado oil to massage directly into clean skin, and then apply a warm cloth to your face to allow the oil to deeply penetrate. This is a wonderful hydrating treatment, and it is also a beauty remedy that can be used with ingredients you would find around the house!

One of the best ways that you can care for your skin is in using premium products, but it does matter how you apply them. Here is what you need to know from my experience in San Antonio bridal makeup!

Make sure that your skin is completely cleansed before you apply any type of product. It is always best to apply serums and treatment products on clean skin because they will absorb fully into the complexion. Also remember not to cleanse your face with very hot water because it will dry out and age the skin.

If your skin is warm, it will absorb product ingredients better. Use a warm towel to rinse your face after cleansing to make sure that your skin is warm and ready for products. Apply products with short strokes using your middle finger without stretching the skin. After you have applied a product, softly tap that area until the product is absorbed completely for around 30 seconds.
This is the best way to keep your skin absolutely beautiful with exceptional care!

If you have the unfortunate instance of getting a nasty sunburn, it does matter how you care for it to protect the health of your skin! Here is what to do from my makeup San Antonio experience:

First of all, apply a cold cloth to the sunburned area to ease the pain. You can also take any type of anti-inflammatory medicine to reduce severe swelling and inflammation.

Next, use a cooling gel like aloe vera or even 1% hydrocortisone that can be purchased over-the-counter to treat redness and swelling in the sunburn. The best thing to do is care for the area so that new skin can grow and replace the old damaged skin.
The bottom line is that it is important to wear an SPF on a daily basis that will protect from UVA and UVB rays to reduce premature aging and wrinkles, not to mention a sunburn!

If you have oily skin prone to breakouts, one of the best ways to treat it is with homemade remedies in facial mask products. Here are some helpful tips from my makeup San Antonio experience!

One easy home remedy for oily skin is to use a banana mask, which is almost good enough to eat! Mash together a tablespoon of honey, a splash of orange juice, and one banana. Apply this directly to the surface of the skin, and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Rinse well, and remove the mask to notice a fresh and vibrant complexion underneath!
The reason that this banana mask is so beneficial is because it will apply nutrients directly to the surface of the skin to deeply exfoliate and remove dead cells that can often cause breakouts. It will also work to moisturize and hydrate, which oily skin types desperately crave for balance!

If you want to stay fresh and radiant, it does make a difference in what you eat! Here is the best of the best from my San Antonio bridal makeup experience:

• Watermelon: This is a food that is rich in lycopene and beta-carotene, which naturally protects you against the harmful UV rays of the sun. Not to mention the fact that watermelon is full of water to hydrate your skin and flush toxins from the surface!
• Trout: Fish full of omega-3 fatty acids will work to prevent dry and cracked skin through intense hydration. This will give you healthy fats in your diet to keep your complexion glowing and supple.
• Cucumber: This is a simple beauty food, but it contains silica, which helps to build collagen underneath the surface of the skin. This will boost and firm your skin right away so that you look years younger!

One of the best ways to stop aging before it starts is to protect your under eye area! From my San Antonio wedding makeup experience and work as an aesthetician, I can tell you that the thin skin around the under eye area is the first to show severe signs of age.
Protect yourself by consistently wearing a sunblock with an SPF of a minimum of 15 whenever you leave the house. This is especially true even for cloudy days because UVA rays, which are responsible for aging, can damage your skin even if it is cold and cloudy. It’s also a great idea to wear UV protectant sunglasses as often as you can to prevent crow’s feet from developing.
To treat this delicate area, make sure to use an advanced anti aging eye cream with scientific ingredients. Some of the most effective ingredients are hyaluronic acid to deeply moisturize, and Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline to plump and firm damaged skin.

Does oily skin really cause nasty breakouts? Find out more from my makeup artist San Antonio experience!
Many people with oily skin struggle with acne, but that is not necessarily mutually exclusive. Many oily skin types also do not realize that they have sensitive skin, which causes severe breakouts as a result. If you are an oily skin type struggling to reduce acne and breakouts, then consider using oil free products that are suitable for sensitive skin. This may be the key that you have been looking for to clear up your complexion!
Likewise, it is so important for all oily skin types to moisturize after every time that they cleanse. Many oily skin types do not want to moisturize because they feel it makes the skin feel too greasy, but a lack of moisture can dry out oily skin and cause it to produce even more oil as a result. This will leave you worse off than when you started!
