There are different schools of thought when it comes to the best eyeliner application. Here’s what you need to know from my bridal makeup San Antonio experience!
To start out with, you don’t necessarily need to line your entire eye every time that you apply eyeliner. If you are trying to open up smaller eyes, then it helps to line only the outer corners of the eye. Regardless, make sure to smudge the eyeliner slightly so that it looks more subtle and blends in with your makeup.
Avoid lining the inner rim of your lower lash line because not only does it make your eyes look smaller, but it can also irritate your eyes and potentially cause infection. An easy way to use eyeliner is to dot it throughout the lash line subtly so that your eyelashes look fuller and your eyes stand out. Perfect for day wear!

To stay gorgeously beautiful, it is always important to have easy and quick makeup tricks up your sleeve! Here are the best of the best from my San Antonio wedding makeup experience.
1.
To keep your foundation on all day long, make sure to apply liquid foundation with a sponge to only the areas of your complexion that need coverage. Blend well, and top with a translucent powder.
2. The best way to achieve a natural look is to layer your makeup with a light application of foundation, then blush, then powder.
3. Apply a small amount of foundation to your lips before your lip liner and lipstick for an all-day color.
4. If your mascara is flaking, apply eyelash primer before your volumizing mascara product.
5. Curl your lashes the easy way by heating your eyelash curler with a blow dryer before curling for volume that will last all day long!

The best way to have shiny and full lashes is to make your mascara work for you! Find out what you need to know from my San Antonio makeup experience.
Start out by curling your lashes, which will help them to appear fuller and have more volume. To hold that eyelash curl in place, apply a coat of clear mascara, which will freeze the curl and keep your lashes looking dramatic all day long.
Another way to use clear mascara is to apply it as a final coat after you have applied your regular mascara. This will help you to add shine to your lashes for a sleek appearance. Last of all, you can also dab a small amount of clear mascara onto your brows to keep them groomed and polished!

There is nothing worse than tossing and turning all night, only to wake up looking like a lesser version of yourself. Find out how to treat tired and dull skin from my makeup artist San Antonio experience!
First of all, use an anti-puff eye product with caffeine in it to reduce puffiness in the under eye area. This will make a serious difference in normalizing any swelling in your face. After that, line your lower lash line with white eyeliner, which will make you immediately look more alert and awake.
Use highlighter to bring out the area under your eyebrows, on the inner corner of your eyes, and on your cheekbones. This will immediately light up your face!
Last of all, hang your head upside down for about 30 seconds, and it will restore instant color to your cheeks!

If you have a special event coming up, including your wedding, you may want to consider options in temporarily covering the cool tattoo that you got when you were 18. Here are the best methods from my makeup artist San Antonio experience!
First of all, apply a heavy concealer to the tattoo, preferably a color corrector. Use a tone that matches your skin tone, and cover the tattoo an inch around it in diameter. After that, use a makeup sponge, and blot the concealer well.
From there, spray on a liquid foundation to make the coverage look natural and also to add another layer to the cover up. To complete the look, dust on translucent powder with a makeup brush to set the tattoo cover up. Flawless!

Since it is still the winter season, why not try a fun shimmer look to enhance your everyday makeup application? Here is how from my San Antonio bridal makeup experience.
Start out by curling your eyelashes, and then apply a metallic eyeshadow in silver or gold over the entire eyelid. After that, use a wet contour brush to apply the same eyeshadow color as an eyeliner to the upper lash line, and half of the lower lash line. On the lower lash line, apply the shimmer eyeliner from the middle of the lash line to the outer corner of the eye.
You can leave the lower eyeliner as is for a dramatic look, or you can tone it down by adding a black or charcoal eyeshadow color as eyeliner with your contour brush. For the inner corner of the lower lash line, apply a highlighter or white eyeliner to open up your eyes.
Finish by blending the eye makeup with an eyeshadow shade that matches your skin tone for a beautiful and glamorous makeup application!

Do you want your makeup to work for you so that you are looking your best? Then check out these pro makeup tips from my bridal makeup San Antonio experience!
•
First, don’t use any old concealer on dark under eye circles. Use a concealer shade that is yellow-based one shade lighter than your regular foundation to neutralize dark under eye circles.
• Instead of using a harsh eyebrow pencil, use a contour brush with an eyeshadow shade that matches your hair color to naturally fill in and groom your brows.
• Work backward in your makeup application! Apply your foundation, blush, and lipstick first before applying eye makeup. This will give you more perspective in your look so that you don’t overdo it and look more natural.

If you want to look years younger without expensive surgery or painful Botox injections, find out how from my wedding makeup San Antonio experience!
First of all, focus on touching up your eyes. The thin skin around your eye area will show fine lines and wrinkles, so take the time to apply a primer to your eyes to minimize smudging or running shadow in the creases of your eye area. It’s also a great idea to use a highlighter at the inner corners of your eyes to bring brightness. Avoid shimmering eyeshadow at all costs because it will only bring out fine lines on your eyelids!
After that, use a contour brush and an eyeshadow color that matches your hair to define your eyebrows for a polished look. You can kiss the years goodbye!

New Year’s is always the time to get your party on, and here is an easy and chic makeup tutorial to ring in 2010! Follow these simple steps from my San Antonio wedding makeup experience.
• Start out with a light mineral makeup foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out the tone of your skin. There is no reason for heavy or cakey makeup this year!
• For a fresh look, rub a cream or gel blush with clean fingertips into the apples of your cheeks, and blend well.
• The eye makeup is where it’s at for this celebratory look, so start out by applying black eyeliner with a contour makeup brush to the upper and lower lash line.
• From there, take a metallic eyeshadow of your choice, and apply to the outer half of your eyelid. On the inner half of your eyelid, use a neutral gray or champagne color to blend well.
• Blend both of these colors into the brow bone with an eyeshadow color that matches your skin tone.
• Last of all, create a smoky affect by smudging the eyeliner on the lower lash line, and apply mascara.
• Pair this with a nude lip for the perfect party look for 2010!
