Courtney Cox Beauty in a Few Easy Steps!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Whether you are a cougar or not, there are a few simple steps you can take to be as beautiful as Courtney Cox! Here is how from my San Antonio makeup experience:

• Start out with a foundation that matches your skin tone, preferably a mineral makeup foundation for lightweight coverage.
• Use a cream gel blush for the apples of your cheeks, and smooth on with clean fingers. It is often best to do your face makeup before your eye makeup so that you apply less overall in your final makeup application.
• Line the eyes with an espresso eye pencil over the top lid and from the middle of the bottom lid to the outer corner. On the inner corner of the bottom lid, line it with a highlighter in a champagne color.
• Top the eyelid with a medium brown eyeshadow, and use a darker shade in the crease. Blend both colors together with a shimmer or pearl neutral eyeshadow.
•Finish with a rose gloss or lip stain, and lightly dust on bronzer to complete the look!

Are You Ready For Hot Pink Lips?

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

If you have checked out any of the celebrities out and about lately, you may have also seen hot pink candy lips reminiscent of the 80s! Here are some easy tips to rock them like an A-lister from my wedding makeup San Antonio experience.

The whole point is that this look should be fun and flirty, so start out with a very bright pink lipstick that is already semi-glossy. After that, use a pink gloss in a similar color, and apply it generously. This is going to give you the pumped up and shiny look that you are going for to sport this new trend.

It is worth being said that you must use a very natural blush and eye makeup color, otherwise, you risk looking cheap and tacky. Give it a try for fun, flirty, and kissable lips in candy colors!

How To Get Natural Makeup Like Rachel Bilson

To have a beautiful, clean makeup application like Rachel Bilson, you definitely need to channel your OC style. Here are some easy tips from my San Antonio wedding makeup experience!

  • 696791ABMake sure that your face looks as clean as possible for that California glow. Use a tinted moisturizer and a minimal amount of concealer.
  • For blush, use a cream or gel blush because it gives the most natural and glowing finish.
  • For your eye makeup, choose shades that are close to your skin tone so that they remain neutral. It is also best to use a highlighter in the stick form to highlight your lower lash line and underneath your brows to make your eyes stand out.
  • Make sure that your brows are well groomed, and use an eyeshadow shade that is the same color as your hair to color them in lightly.
  • Always go for a nude or neutral lip color that will complement your skin tone for a beautiful California look!
