What is the best way to cover up a tattoo? If it is your wedding day or another special event, you may want to cover up that butterfly tattoo you got on your back when you were 18. If that’s the case, check out these helpful tattoo cover up tips from my San Antonio makeup experience.

First of all, invest in a professional color corrector. This is a thicker and creamier concealer that is used for photography makeup, and you can use it for effective camouflage. Start out by applying a makeup primer to the area that you want to cover, which will help the cover up to stay on for longer. After that, apply a color corrector with a makeup brush, and blend well with a sponge.

Finally, you can apply a foundation that matches your skin tone, and top with a translucent powder to set the makeup in place. If you have golden skin, brush the area with a bronzer so that it looks as natural as possible, and you’re ready to go – sans tattoo!

If you want to stay continually beautiful and glamorous, then you need to learn how to relax! Here is what you need to know from my makeup service San Antonio experience.

To begin with, take the time to pamper yourself a little bit every day. This could mean using beauty products that are good for your skin, taking a little cat nap, or even treating yourself to a healthy and delicious meal. It really makes a difference in your overall wellness and happiness!

Next on the list, make it a priority to exercise regularly! A workout will boost your circulation, flush toxins from your skin, and make you look radiant.

Last of all, get enough sleep! Everyone out there is a little bit stressed, but sleep is what repairs all of the cells in your body, restores health to your skin, and helps you to be as beautiful as ever.

One of the most important things to remember if you want to beat signs of age is to treat your neck and chest the same as you do your face! Here is how from my makeup San Antonio experience:

• Keep in mind that the skin on your neck and chest is actually thinner and more subject to damage then your facial skin.
• Most women neglect to cleanse, tone, and treat their neck and chest, but it is still subject to severe wrinkles!
• Make sure to always, always, always apply a strong SPF to these areas. Haven’t you ever seen a beautiful woman with a wrinkly and leathery chest? Enough said.
• Treat these areas with any anti aging products that you use on your face, and you will see a dramatic reduction in fine lines and wrinkles!

How To Care For Your Lips

Caring for your lips should be an important part of your beauty routine, and here are the best tips from my San Antonio wedding makeup experience.

Watch out for lead in lipsticks, especially in colors that are vibrant red. This is actually more common than you think!

Furthermore, if you are dealing with chapped lips, look for ingredients within your lip care products that deeply moisturize, like beeswax or natural oils. It’s also ideal to have less than five ingredients in your lip balm product to truly treat your lips and prevent dryness and cracking.

Last of all, the rumors are not true, and lip products are not addictive! They may be psychologically addictive if you like to have soft and smooth lips, but there are no ingredients used in lip balms to make them literally addictive. They simply moisturize your lips and help them to look their best!

Colonix Review Part 4

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

So this is my last week with Colonix, and I have to say that I am a little bit sad… I have really been enjoying this colon cleansing treatment, and I think that I have noticed a difference in my energy levels, as well as my sleep.

One of the best portions of the program is the daily fiber in the morning because it really keeps your system going all day long. You feel like your body is working the way that it is supposed to, and of course, it doesn’t taste so great, but if you mix it with juice, it’s pretty doable!

As far as my skin goes, I feel that it looks fresh and much healthier. It’s no secret that one of the main problems that people have with their complexion is a buildup of toxins. This can come from sun exposure, smoking, lack of exercise, and lack of sleep. If you have toxins underneath the surface of your skin, then it will look dull and lackluster, not to mention prone to breakouts. One of the biggest benefits I have noticed from Colonix is that my skin is looking better than ever!

Colonix Review Part 3

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

I am entering the second week of my Colonix program, and I have to tell you that I am seeing some differences. First of all, my boyfriend was so intrigued that he bought his own kit and started doing the detox with me. Very romantic!

I have noticed a significant increase in energy, and it may be partially because I am sleeping like a rock due to the Kleritea that I have begun alternating on a nightly basis. I have also had several headaches, which I never get unless I have a hangover, so I’m thinking it was from the toxins being dispelled from my body in the liver cleansing. Thank goodness!

Overall, I am really enjoying this program, especially because my skin is looking better than ever! I have taken to wearing as little makeup as possible when I don’t have to leave the house, but the best part is that my complexion looks radiant and fresh. Maybe it’s because it is getting flushed from toxins?

How To Treat Puffy Skin

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

There is nothing more frustrating than waking up to start your day with a swollen and puffy face. Find out how to deal with this issue from my bridal makeup San Antonio experience!

The first step to treating serious under eye puffiness is to use an eye cream product that contains caffeine. Caffeine is a vasodilator, and it will constrict blood vessels and push water out from the surface of the skin to reduce swelling and puffing. You can apply this eye product to any area with puffiness, including your jaw line and cheeks.

After that, use the age old beauty remedy of applying cold slices of cucumber to the surface of your skin, and massage them over your entire complexion. This will soothe and calm your face for a flawless finish!

Tips For a Smooth Shave

leg-shaving-medOne of the biggest issues for at home hair removal is razor burn. If you want to avoid these woes and keep your skin soft while shaving, find out how from my makeup artist San Antonio experience!

First of all, it is important for your razor to be very sharp to avoid irritating your skin. It’s also better to use a razor with multiple blades that can be easily replaced. Remember to use a shaving cream product before shaving to provide a barrier between your skin and the razor.

It is best to shave in the shower because it is important for your skin to be soft and clean. For the closest and most gentle shave, soak in the bathtub before shaving, and then apply shaving cream. Razor burn will most commonly occur if you shave against the direction of the hair growth. Shave in the direction that the hair grows to prevent irritation and bumps on your beautiful skin!

Can Facial Massage Stimulate Your Skin?

Friday, October 9th, 2009

massage

One the most valuable pieces of information that I have learned while working as an esthetician and San Antonio makeup artist is how necessary facial massage is to stimulate your skin.

If your complexion is looking dull and flat, then all you have to do is use a simple facial massage technique to stimulate blood flow to your complexion. This is also the reason that it is necessary to work out regularly because that also stimulates blood flow to your facial skin so that it looks fresh and radiant.

One more benefit of facial massage is that it will increase blood flow so that your cells will turn over faster. This is the natural exfoliation that you need so that your skin can repair itself and look fresh as a result. Take the time to gently massage your facial skin or even treat yourself to a facial to make sure that your complexion is in the best condition possible!
